Session information

Major global health gains can be achieved by strengthening the implementation and delivery of public health policies and programmes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Widely acknowledged as an eclectic area of enquiry not reliant on any one particular method or discipline, the field of implementation research needs to adapt and innovate to meet the diverse demands upon it. This supplement consists of empirical research and methodological contributions that illustrate innovations in implementation research in LMICs, and outlines trajectories for the development of the field that will help maximise its impact in the real world.
